Colin James Farrell -born 31 May 1976- is an Irish actor. After TV and film work in the UK, he was discovered by Joel Schumacher auditioning for Tigerland. The string of American thrillers that followed, Phone Booth, S.W.A.T., and The Recruit established his international box office bankability.

One film, which has been in development for years has just found its way to production, bringing together two A-listers: Colin Farrell and Anthony Hopkins.
Solace is a suspense thriller following a retired doctor, who once helped authorities catch dangerous killers. After the death of his loving daughter, he loses his nerve and is forced to leave his post. Years later, an FBI agent comes knocking on his door with the request of helping him track down a sadistic serial killer, played by Farrell.
And how do you catch a serial killer, again? By asking for the expertise of Hannibal Lecter, of course!
But before all that, we’re going to see Farrell shoot some criminals in Dead Man Down, which opens in cinemas in March.
